This three day, two night intensive tour is the ultimate package for travelers wishing to experience Sri Lanka’s diverse highlights efficiently. It seamlessly links the majesty of the ancient Cultural Triangle (Sigiriya/Dambulla) with the spiritual heart of Kandy and the spectacular wildlife of the dry zone (Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park). This tour delivers history, culture, nature, and adventure, starting and ending with airport transfers.

Day 01: Arrival, Heritage & Wildlife Safari

The tour begins with an early morning pickup at CMB and a direct transfer to the Cultural Triangle. The day is dedicated to experiencing the ancient history and a thrilling afternoon safari focused on wild elephants.

• Morning Transfer (08:00 AM): Pickup from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and immediate transfer to the Sigiriya/Dambulla region (Approx. 4 hours drive).

• Check-in & Lunch (12:00 PM - 02:00 PM): Arrive at the hotel in Sigiriya/Dambulla, check in, and enjoy lunch.

• Afternoon Safari (02:30 PM - 06:00 PM):

  • Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park: Embark on a thrilling 4x4 jeep safari, aiming to witness "The Gathering" the seasonal concentration of hundreds of Asian Elephants around the reservoir (seasonal).

• Evening (06:30 PM onwards): Return to the hotel, freshen up, and enjoy a traditional dinner. Overnight Stay in Sigiriya/Dambulla.

Day 02: Sigiriya Climb, Dambulla & Transfer Kandy

Day two is dedicated to exploring the two great UNESCO sites of the region before transferring to the final royal city, Kandy, in the afternoon.

• Morning Climb (07:00 AM - 11:30 AM):

  • Sigiriya Rock Fortress: Commence the climb up Sigiriya (Lion Rock). Explore the Water Gardens, the frescoes, and the ruins of the Sky Palace at the summit.

  • Dambulla Caves: Quick stop to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple on the way out of the area (time permitting, focusing on the main caves).

• Lunch & Transfer (11:30 AM - 03:30 PM): Check out, enjoy lunch, and commence the scenic transfer to Kandy (Approx. 2.5 - 3 hours drive).

• Evening Cultural Immersion (04:00 PM onwards):

  • Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic: Check in to the Kandy hotel, then visit the revered Sri Dalada Maligawa for the evening Pooja ceremony (optional attendance).

  • Cultural Show: Attend a vibrant Kandyan Cultural Dance Performance.

• Overnight Stay in Kandy.

Day 03: Hills, Gardens & Departure

The final day focuses on the natural beauty of the Central Highlands and the colonial tea heritage before the return transfer to the airport.

• Morning Exploration (08:00 AM - 12:00 PM):

  • Breakfast: Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel.

  • Peradeniya Gardens: Visit the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, exploring the Orchid House and the Avenue of Royal Palms.

• Tea Experience (12:00 PM - 01:30 PM):

  • Tea Factory Visit: Stop at a nearby Tea Plantation/Factory to witness the production process and sample genuine Ceylon Tea.

• Lunch & Departure (01:30 PM - 06:00 PM): Enjoy lunch in Kandy. Commence the comfortable return transfer directly to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) (Approx. 3.5 - 4 hours drive).
