River and Lagoon Camping Experience

Overview
This two day, one night camping package is designed for adventurers who seek the thrill of both river-based activities and the serenity of a coastal lagoon. The tour provides an intensive experience in the Kitulgala Forest Reserve for river camping and adventure sports, followed by a unique lagoon experience closer to the airport. Guests will stay in comfortable, semi luxury tents, enjoying the unique sounds of the jungle and the coastal wetlands.
Day 01: Arrival, River Camp Setup & Adventure Rush
The day begins with an early morning pickup and a direct transfer to the adventure hub of Kitulgala. The afternoon is packed with adrenaline-pumping river activities, culminating in a memorable night spent camping by the Kelani River.
Morning Transfer (06:00 AM): Pickup from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and immediate transfer to the Kitulgala region (Approx. 3 hours drive).
Check-in & Lunch (09:30 AM - 12:30 PM): Arrive at the riverside adventure camp. Enjoy a welcome drink, settle into the Deluxe Tented Accommodation (or simple cabin), and have lunch.
River Adventure (01:30 PM - 05:00 PM):
White Water Rafting: Engage in the main event: a thrilling 5km White Water Rafting session on the Kelani River (Grade 2-3 rapids), led by certified guides.
Stream Activities: Participate in optional activities such as Confidence Jumps and Stream Slides in the natural rock pools.
Evening (06:30 PM onwards): Enjoy a river bath, followed by a cozy Campfire and a traditional Sri Lankan BBQ Dinner under the stars. Overnight Stay at River Camp (Kitulgala).
Day 02: Lagoon Safari & Departure
The second day transitions from the hills to the coast. After an early breakfast, the focus shifts to the coastal wetland environment, featuring a final water safari on a prominent lagoon before the final transfer back to the airport.
Breakfast & Check-out (08:00 AM - 09:30 AM): Enjoy breakfast at the river camp and check out.
Transfer (09:30 AM - 12:30 PM): Commence the scenic transfer towards the West Coast, focusing on the Negombo/Kalpitiya region.
Lagoon Experience (12:30 PM - 02:30 PM):
Boat Safari: Embark on a serene Lagoon Boat Safari (e.g., in Negombo Lagoon or a designated coastal wetland). Focus on the unique mangrove ecosystems, fishing methods, and diverse aquatic bird life (herons, kingfishers, etc.).
Late Lunch & Final Transfer (02:30 PM - 05:00 PM): Enjoy a light, late lunch at a hotel near the airport/Negombo area. Commence the final, short transfer directly to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB).
